In this Tenancy Sustainment Officer opportunity in Derbyshire you will join a leading charity working towards tackling homelessness one client at a time, by providing support as a first point of contact to clients needing help with maintaining their tenancy.

Key responsibilities

In this Tenancy Sustainment Officer job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Induction and welcoming of new residents ensuring awareness of settling Into their new accommodation
  • Ensure financial viability through appropriate Income management - housing benefits / housing / welfare support / budgeting
  • Support residents to reduce behaviours which may be negotiable and provide crisis Intervention
  • Positive / solution focused approach to work with confidence to deal with challenging and complex situations
  • Comprehensive housing and voids management, maintaining a high standard of health and safety, building compliance and property standards

Skills & experience of a Tenancy Sustainment Officer

  • Proven track record In housing management
  • Desire to help vulnerable people with housing and offer emotional support
  • DBS Issued In the last 12 months or on the update service
  • Car driver is necessary due to travelling across Derbyshire
