Junior PR Executive

Role Overview

Savills B2C press office is looking for a Junior PR Executive. The position, involves working closely the Rural, Development Services and Regional PR Managers and playing an important role in assisting with the day to day handling of requests and the implementation of national campaigns as part of a 14 strong team.

This full time position will be based at Savills global headquarters in Oxford Circus, with occasional travel required between UK regional offices.

Working across all aspects of real estate with a particular focus on the rural, development, planning and regional business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling submissions for regular press opportunities and journalist requests to support the rural, development, planning and regional businesses
  • Being responsible for providing descriptive material and images to journalists for market / trend led features
  • Content creation and copywriting for the Savills blog
  • Copywriting and sourcing information across Savills channels, including newsletters, UK News and intranet content
  • Contributing considered and innovative ideas during departmental team meetings and brainstorming sessions
  • An interest in all aspects of property and the wider news agenda
  • Identifying new publications and online or social media opportunities relevant to the business
  • Collaboration with wider comms teams within Savills including marketing, social media, internal comms and the B2B PR team
  • Collating coverage results in various formats and systematically logging coverage on a daily basis
  • General team admin to include: compiling monthly reports and on-going press monitoring

Key Skills

  • Keen, highly creative and curious with an ambition to excel, outstanding communication skills
  • An understanding of what will be of interest to the media and what quality media coverage looks like
  • Ability to manage own workload and work as part of a team within the press office and with the wider comms teams
  • Ability to work with and report to a number of different stakeholders simultaneously across the business
  • Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of the full communications sphere including digital and social media
  • Highly conscientious, ability to work to deadlines and maintain high standards while under time constraints.

Team Overview

The B2C PR team supports the residential sales and lettings, development services, planning and rural divisions and comprises 8 members in our London HQ and 5 regionally-based specialists. We are a very friendly and collaborative team, enjoying strong relationships across the business.
