Head of Operations

A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced manager to join an international not-for-profit organisation, as Head of Operations on a full or part-time, permanent basis.

Main duties will include:

  • Overseeing Finance, IT, Facilities and HR functions
  • Managing relationships with external providers
  • Manage tenders and contract renewals
  • Financial management, including budgeting
  • Oversee recruitment, training and development
  • Strategic operational planning, focussing on facilities
  • Update policies and present to Directors where appropriate

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrable experience in an operational management capacity
  • Experience working with not-for-profit or academic sectors preferred
  • Financial management experience
  • Facilities management experience desirable
  • Effective communicator
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal hours when required
  • Excellent people management skills
  • A passion for sustainability essential
