CLEANING SUPERVISOR (NIGHTS)

Our client is a busy food manufacturing company, who pride themselves on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in their industrial facilities.

Due to continued growth they are currently looking at introducing a new cleaning team to their business operation, as a result we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Cleaning Supervisor to lead their team of cleaners, ensuring the operation runs smoothly and the environment remains spotless.

The Role

The Cleaning Supervisor will take a hands-on role in not only being responsible for overseeing the cleaning operations during the night shift, but physically working alongside the team. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment. The successful candidate will coordinate cleaning activities, manage a team of cleaners, ensuring holiday and sickness cover is arranged and ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards.

  • Supervise a team of cleaners, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and ensure adherence to established protocols.
  • Inspect facilities to ensure cleaning standards are met and address any deficiencies promptly.
  • Train new staff on proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and place orders as necessary.
  • Respond to emergencies and special cleaning requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times..

Shifts: Monday to Friday

Times: 2100 - 0600

Pay: £13.00

Location: Milton Keynes

Duration: Temp to Perm

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in industrial cleaning, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work the night shift, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
