Sr. Process Engineer

Key Qualifications for this Position include:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering (or eqv) from an accredited university with minimum ten years (10) design and operational experience of Refinery Units such as Crude Distillation Unit, Vacuum Distillation Unit, Naphtha Hydrotreating Units, Isomerization and Reforming units etc. as well as experience in Refinery Integration Projects
  • Ability to work in multicultural environment, deliver high quality work and supervise team of engineers to meet delivery deadlines
  • Demonstrated interpersonal/team building skills
  • Strong written and Oral English Communication
  • Knowledge of International Standards (API, NFPA, NACE etc.)
  • Proficient in ASPEN Suite, HTRI
  • Ability to work under pressure and in fast paced environment

Job Description

  • Responsible for Process Engineering Deliverables including but not limited to:

o Review and Approve P&ID

o Review and Approve PFD

o Review and Approve Process Simulations & HMB

o Equipment Sizing Process Equipment Sizing (including Separators, Heat Exchangers, Columns etc.)

o Review and Approve Equipment Datasheet

  • P&ID development, including specification of design conditions, hydraulic analysis, line sizing and pipe specifications, equipment isolation, vent and drain systems, cause and effects
  • Checking of relief system design, including PSV sizing, flare hydraulics and radiation analysis.
  • Responsible to Approve engineering deliverables are as per project specification
  • Responsible to help prepare Material Requisition (MR) for Process Buy out items
  • Responsible to coordinate with procurement department to ensure to quotations are received, that they are technically acceptable (TBE), that PO's have been placed and timely delivery of the materials.
  • Coordinate with engineering and varying discipline Engineers to facilitate document sharing between disciplines as required
  • Assist Proposals Department as required

Ideal Candidates will have broad experience designing Refinery Units and work with specialized Process Licensor. The candidate should be aware of good design practice and understands how to optimize the design of these units. The Candidate should have a broad range of experience of all stages of a project, from conceptual studies to FEEDs and EPCs., to use good engineering judgement and experience in producing, checking, and reviewing complex deliverables and calculations.
