Business Improvement Lead

The Opportunity

Salary: £52,049 to £55,615 per annum

Working Pattern: Full time, 37 hours per week

Base Location: County Hall, Chichester, hybrid working from home available

Interview date: w/c 01 July 2024

Working as part of a team, as the Business Improvement Lead, you will provide technical expertise and leadership on the implementation of innovation and new ways of working, including identifying opportunities for efficiency, reducing costs and improving service delivery.

You will be working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver high quality business improvement and change outcomes within target timescales. This will involve working both independently and collaboratively to undertake a range of shaping, planning, reporting and analytical activity to discover relevant information about current service(s), provide input to new design models, assess options and draft proposals, track progress, and identify and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies in support of programme and continuous improvement delivery.

You will provide detailed advice and guidance, including responding to queries and problems, and influencing and persuading individuals through the development of effective relationships in a challenging and complex environment.

What are we looking for?

As the successful Business Improvement Lead, you will:

  • You will have previous experience of successfully deliver assigned programme / project documentation as defined and agreed with the Programme and/or Senior Responsible Officer, to a deadline and to the highest quality.
  • Experienced in drafting business cases, defining user requirements, and developing and sharing documentation.
  • Have experience of managing the production of the business process and the planned deliverables.
  • Able to motivate and raise the skill & capabilities of team members to successfully deliver the assigned work as part of the programme / project team.
  • Able to identify opportunities to reduce all nonessential costs within the programme / project, continually seek and to improve efficiency whilst adding value into the service.
  • Maintain insight and knowledge of other Councils, government associations and market trends.
  • Have experience of continually build positive relationships with key stakeholders in other departments / agencies.
  • Experience of managing, identifying and mitigating all associated risks & issues that will impact the successful delivery of the programme / project.
  • Have experience of analysing documents to ensure the full requirements are establish business benefits and establish gap analysis.
  • Have previous experience of managing colleagues when required through programme / project activity.
