Description

  • Supervise accounts and payroll staff, ensuring accurate financial data entry.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and year-end financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT returns, Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), and other regulations.
  • Manage fixed asset registers and account reconciliations.
  • Authorise employee expenses and oversee payroll-related processes.
  • Ensure the integrity of accounting systems and compliance with financial legislation.
  • Work closely with the Finance Director and assist with risk management

Profile

The successful Finance Manager should have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Holds an accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with financial applications.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in the construction or house building industry is a plus

Job Offer

  • An estimated hourly rate of £20-25 an hour + holiday
  • £40-£50k annual salary (if you go permanent)
