Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a business in Leeds who are looking for an Assistant Accountant/Management Accountant to join their small team. They are looking for someone who enjoys a challenge and are able to be part of the modernisation of the finance department. This is a hands-on role and will suit someone who is happy to get stuck in.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce monthly management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Payroll journals
- Maintain fixed asset register
- VAT returns
- Oversight of the financial transactions of the business
- Efficient operation of the accounts function
- Liaise with other branches, customers and suppliers
- Support the Finance Director on company initiatives
You will need to demonstrate:
- AAT qualified or working towards ACCA/CIMA (desirable)
- Qualified through experience
- Enthusiastic about delivering high quality, accurate output
- Good time keeping skills
- Ability to work independently and use own initiative
- A keen eye for detail
- Excel skills
