The main purpose of Police National Systems Operative

is to provide intelligence support including functions such as: Police National Computer (PNC), Police National Database (PND), Prison Intelligence System (PINS), Briefing and Tasking Dashboard (STEPS), Wanted Persons/Prison Recalls and Bail Process.

To act as single point of contact for Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), National Border Targeting Centre (NBTC) and Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) Enquiries.

Electronic Monitoring Systems (EMS) breach process.

To update, maintain, operate and interrogate National, Force and local computer systems.

  • Police National Systems Operative role is an office based role
  • Full time position -(Remote working for some working days would be considered after full training has been received and the individual is deemed competant to do so, contribution to office cover including late shifts would still be required. Any alteration to typical shifts fixed/variable would need to still support to business need to cover the departments core hours 0800-1800, but adjustments can be made on an individual basis.
