We are seeking a Foundation Learning Tutor with a passion for teaching life skills and experience in Further Education and working with SEND students. This role is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students by creating an inclusive learning environment and delivering essential life skills education.

Day to day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in life skills tailored to the needs of SEND students.
  • Develop, implement, and review individual learning plans to support student progress.
  • Assess student achievements, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the wider learning community.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A degree in Education or a related field is essential.
  • A teaching qualification relevant to the Further Education sector is required.
  • Proven experience as a Foundation Learning Tutor, with a focus on life skills education.
  • Demonstrated experience working with SEND students and adapting teaching methods to support diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one.
