We're currently recruiting for an experienced Painter & Decorator Multi to join our Property Team in our Blandford, Dorsetlocality. As you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road we will provide you with a business use van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket.

What you'll do:

As a Painter/Decorator you will carry out all forms of repairs in our properties and elsewhere in accordance with work schedules.

Tasks to include:

  • Measuring surface areas to work out how much paint or wall covering is required.
  • Stripping off old wallpaper or paint.
  • Filling holes and cracks and making sure surfaces are level.
  • Preparing surfaces with primer and undercoat.
  • Mixing paint to the right shade, either by hand or using computerised color-matching equipment.
  • Applying layers of paint and hanging wallpaper.
  • Tidying up after finishing a job.
  • Other basic trade skills such as patch plastering, damp & mould washing & tiling would also be an advantage

What you'll need:

You should have experience within a similar role, ideally from within a Residential/Housing sector and must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 OR have a minimum of 5 years proven track record working in this trade.

Have a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.

This is a full time role, working 40 Hours per week, with the opportunity to supplement your salary through call out and overtime at competitive rates to enhance your earnings!

Due to the requirement to travel, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 years experience and have the ability to drive and take home a company van.

This role is subject to a satisfactory licence check, essential qualifications check and a basic DBS disclosure.
