Exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Lawyer to join a Top 100 firm in the heart of Birmingham. We are looking for an Associate Solicitor with at least 2 years of PQE, who is adept at managing a complex caseload and contributing to the growth of our department.
This role primarily entails work in Court of Protection, healthcare law advice, and inquests, along with other health sector-related legal activities. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience working with the NHS and possess inquest advocacy experience. You'll be part of a national team of over 70 lawyers that supports NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts, and medical defence organisations, with expertise in consent, capacity issues, and the intersection of mental capacity and mental health law.
The
Senior Associate
will primarily handle Court of Protection cases, including those that are high-pressure. The
Associate
will focus on Inquests and Court of Protection matters. Knowledge of mental health law is beneficial. As in-person hearings are becoming more frequent, flexibility in travel will be required.
On offer is a salary ranging from £50,000 to £80,000 for an Associate/Senior Associate, depending on experience.
