Our client is a leading custom design and manufacturer in their field, selling their products to a wide range of industries across the globe. The business has been operating successfully for over 25 years, and due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a
Wiring Technician
to join their team. This role is responsible for the electrical fault finding and fixing and electrical inspection of inspection equipment including Industrial Metal Detection, Check weighing, X-ray and Vision products.
The role will require working closely with the Sales Department to communicate Sales opportunities through upgrades, uneconomic repairs and general awareness of on-site opportunities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
- Competently use engineering tools, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and soldering equipment, to perform precise electrical work.
- Manufacture and assemble products to the agreed specification, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Perform control box wiring, ensuring all connections are secure and compliant with relevant standards.
- Complete machine system wiring, integrating various components to create fully functional systems.
- Conduct electrical fault finding using systematic troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and repair issues.
- Adhere to ISO processes and requirements, ensuring all work meets industry standards and regulations.
- Test and final check completed products to ensure they meet operational specifications and customer expectations.
- Follow instructions and prioritise workflow to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Adapt to changes in priorities, products, and processes, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
- Apply Health & Safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Complete documentation to satisfy legislative (CE) and customer specifications, maintaining accurate records of work performed.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience Electrically biased fitting experience
- Pneumatic Assembly experience
- Must be a competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel Outlook email or a similar system
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently to resolve customer issues
- A methodical approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting
- Clean full UK Driving License
