We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Trade Development Manager to join the Commercial department. Overseeing the IPAK, Middle East, Australia, New Zealand and Red Sea trade department on behalf of the Trade Manager. Day-to-day supervision of the department with an emphasis on leading, motivating and developing the team. Manage own workload and ensure that the team members are motivated, trained and always engaged so that they provide an outstanding level of service. Ensure that excellent communication is maintained with other parts of the business and MSC Geneva.

How you will help us and what you can expect

  • Support the Trade Manager in the day to day functions and to maximise growth opportunities for the Trade
  • Organise and hold one to one meetings, team meetings and performance reviews
  • Define & review individual performance contracts and in conjunction with MSC standards
  • Develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours of all team members
  • Build close relationships with origin agents and MSC Geneva Liners
  • Maintain a close working relationship with other parts of the business on behalf of the dept, to encourage cross-departmental collaboration and positively promote the trade team
  • Assist with any reports, statistics, analysis and market research required
  • Any other supporting documents and reports to support the Trade Manager
  • Attend both Internal and External meetings and visits in the absence of the Trade Manager
  • Work closely with the Trade Manager to ensure that agreed strategies are being implemented and followed to ensure desired results are obtained

  • Previous experience of reporting & compiling statistics
  • Experience of team development and maximising efficiency and results

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Time management
  • Ability to demonstrate a professional manner at all times
