Job Description:
As the Maintenance Engineering Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing a team of 12 engineers and 2 office staff, overseeing the execution of Capex projects worth up to £2 million, and ensuring that all maintenance activities align with company goals. Your leadership will be key in developing the skills of your team, creating and implementing effective training plans, and maintaining a robust PPM schedule. This role is 100% management-focused, requiring you to handle recruitment, disciplinaries, and people management with a focus on guidance and development.
Skills Required for Maintenance Engineering Manager:
- Proven leadership and management experience in a heavy industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of budget management and Capex project oversight.
- Expertise in continuous improvement (CI) and implementing effective maintenance strategies.
- Experience in developing and managing training plans for engineering teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of PPM schedules and people management.
