Job Title: Art Teacher
Location: Wells, Somerset, England
Contract Type: Full-time (0.8 FTE considered for the right candidate)
Start Date: September 2024
Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR 2.2 (currently £5,347 p.a.)
The school is a coeducational secondary school located in Wells, Somerset. We are committed to fostering creativity, self-expression, and appreciation for various art forms among our students.
Responsibilities:
- Develop interesting lesson plans and curricula for art classes.
- Collaborate with other teachers to enhance cross-curricular learning experiences.
- Set clear learning objectives and prepare relevant learning materials.
- Inspire creativity and self-expression among students.
- Guide students in exploring various art techniques and forms.
Expectations:
- Keep informed about relevant curriculum developments.
- Oversee students' work within the art department.
- Continually review and develop the range of learning experiences offered to students.
- Supervise lessons to ensure a supportive and respectful learning environment.
- Source art supplies and maintain a well-equipped art studio.
The post is to commence from September 2024, and the successful candidate will be required to provide an enhanced DBS check as well as suitable references.
