Your new company
I am working with a fantastic company based in Nantwich who are looking for a Credit Controller to join their team.
This is a newly created position following a restructure and will be reporting to the Finance Director.
Your new role
As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for the following duties
- Proactively managing the credit control function and ensuring maximum cash collection on a daily basis.
- Issuing statements to clients and following up with reminders and phone calls in line with the credit control policy.
- Taking card payments from clients and dealing with postings.
- Resolving queries and disputes related to invoices, payments, and credit terms.
- Negotiating payment plans and payment methods with clients as necessary.
- Initiating legal actions and referring to the internal debt collection department if necessary.
- Reporting on the status and performance of the accounts receivable ledger to the Finance Director.
- Reviewing and updating the credit policies and procedures of the company.
- Maintaining good relationships and communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Preparing and distributing Work-In-Progress reports.
- Collaborating with the Billing Team and Accounts Department.
What you'll need to succeed
- At least 3 years of dedicated credit control experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong and confident communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of credit laws and regulations.
- Customer service and problem-solving skills.
What you'll get in return
Depending on experience, you will get a salary of £25,000- £30,000 alongside 21days annual leave + bank holidays, pension scheme, health cash plan, enhanced mat leave package, working with a fantastic and supportive team.
