A well-known further education college in London is looking for a Learning Support Assistants to provide in-class support to a students taking up Media Studies. The college has a large provision for students, some who have just left secondary school and others who are taking vocational. Some students have Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND), however, only moderate needs. This may include autism and ADHD.

The Role

In this role you will be supporting a student aged between 16 and 19 years old who has recently left secondary school. You will be working 1 to 1 with this student and initially the role will start of as a Part-time role (Thursday and Friday) before moving to a full-time; although this role could go straight into a full-time role.

The college are looking for a candidate who has experience in media studies support or a keen interest in media, as well as Teaching Assistant experience in SEND and/or mainstream role. Personal care (feeding and changing) will be required, so experience in this area is essential due to the need of the student.

The Centre

The college has center's in Kings Cross, Victoria, Soho and Regents Park). It is one of the largest post-16 college group in London. The college boasts a dedicated and experienced management and staff team and its excellent training and development programmes. The Centre operates mainly during term-time only and is easily accessible via public transport.
