My client, who is a charity based in the North of England are looking to add 2 excellent Head of Operations to their head office team to oversee a group of services for people with learning disabilities, mental health, Autism, substance misuse and challenging behaviours. The services include community, supported living, residential, nursing and independent living.

Responsibilities (not exhaustive):

Responsible for ensuring that all staff employed within your service are recruited, developed, supported and managed in an appropriate and professional manner to meet the needs of the organisation and individual services

Responsible for ensuring that you and staff within your service comply with the company values and beliefs, policies and procedures.Ensure that any legal or contractual obligations are fully met and make recommendations around new ways of working to meet new and existing demand for services ad new ways of working.

Responsible for contributing to the development of budgets for your services and accountable for ensuring that they remain within agreed budgets. Establish good communication links with commissioners and strategic partners ensuring positive dialogue where there are areas of conflict or concern.

Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective links with other organisations, and agencies, or workers whose role(s) may impact upon your service area both internally and externally.

Responsibility for contributing to the successful future development of the business by highlighting opportunities within the broad corporate aims of the organisation. This will include contributions to policy and procedures and to service developments.

Take part in the emergency on-call rota and be the named person designated for safeguarding.

Essential Criteria:

Professional qualification, e.g. Nursing / Social Work and/or relevant management qualification, e.g. NVQ 4/5, CMS, CMI Level 5 DMS or MBA

Experience of Managing multiple social services

Clean DBS

Full UK driving licence
