Finance Business Partner | Fast-Growth Creative Agency | Bristol/Bath
Harmonic are delighted to be working with a well-established Creative Agency, supporting them with their search for a Finance Business Partner. Turning over between £15-20mill, they have been worldwide leaders in their market 15+ years, with offices spreading across the UK & USA. They are pioneers in integrated communication campaigns, aiming to help clients manage their reputation, improve their visibility and media coverage, delivering global campaigns across multiple platforms.
They are a values driven business who are now looking for an eager Finance Business Partner to join their sociable, collaborative team.
The Role:
Reporting into an experienced Head of Finance, the role of Finance Business Partner is key to driving the commercial success of the client facing teams. This role will require providing financial and commercial insight to the client facing leadership teams, involving leading on key projects and process improvements which have been identified as integral to the future direction of the department.
You will work alongside Business and Project Leads to ensure projects and retainers are profitable and budgeted appropriately, team resourcing is managed and working capital is minimised. The role offers great progression opportunities, with scope to grow into a Senior Finance Business Partner role over a 2-3-year period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of efficiency and margin (revenue, direct costs, and staff costs).
- Working with the senior team to ensure revenue and staff forecast is updated regularly.
- Working closely with the Project Leads to ensure timely and accurate delivery of management information.
- Attending Team Partner & management meetings to report on revenue and unit performance against contribution and efficiency targets.
- Managing accrued revenue and deferred revenue.
- Management of direct costs and client budgets.
- Liaising with auditors for all revenue profit and loss (fees, expenses recharged) and balance sheet items (accrued and deferred income, WIP).
- Ad-hoc finance duties and projects where required.
What We Need to See (Essential Skills):
- Qualified or PQ ACCA / CIMA / ACA
- 2+ years' experience of performing a FBP / Commercial Finance Analyst role or similar.
- MS Excel proficient
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Good all-rounder, proactive, team player
What We Would Like to See (Bonus Skills):
- Experience working in PR or Advertising or Marketing or Media
Start Date: ASAP (will consider 3-month notice period)
Salary: £40-55K
Location: Bath/Bristol area (2/3 days WFH)
