Visitor Operations Manager

Salary: £38,810 per annum plus benefits

Hours: 35 hours per week on a roster from Monday to Sunday

We are currently seeking a Visitor Operations Manager - Front of House Management, to join our Visitor Engagement team in one of the most iconic buildings in the world, St Paul's Cathedral.

In this role, you will be responsible for inspiring, motivating and coaching the Visitor Operations team to deliver visitor operations to the highest standards.

In particular, you will be responsible for:

  • ensuring an inclusive welcome for all visitors
  • front of house procedures and presentation standards
  • implementing revenue generating and commercial opportunities
  • administering the till systems
  • responding to complaints, when required

The successful applicant will have:

  • demonstrable experience of delivering effective operational visitor experience, preferably within an arts, heritage or visitor attraction
  • demonstrable experience of managing operational teams within a complex organisation
  • excellent communication skills
  • proven experience of administering till systems
  • proven experience of managing customers complaints
  • experience of implementing and maintaining high standards of customer service and driving commercial activity through coherent KPI's and objectives
  • an ability to work at pace, be decisive and capable of prioritising work appropriately

Please note that the Cathedral is open 365 days per year, therefore, the rota includes weekend and bank holiday working.
