Your new company is a diverse, multi-industry business based in the Accrington area. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Group Finance Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. This role is reporting in to a high calibre Finance Director and there is a clear progression path to directorship.
Your new role
You will be responsible for improving accounting and operational processes, enhancing monthly and annual financial reporting to the directors, leading projects for the implementation of new systems, and monitoring and analysing costs to identify savings and improve profitability.
- Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly and annual financial reports tailored to the needs of the directors.
- Develop and maintain robust reporting systems to track financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards.
- Provide insights and analysis on financial results to senior management.
- Continuously improve reporting tools and techniques to support business needs.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance accounting and operational processes.
- Lead and manage projects for the implementation of new financial and operational systems.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Develop and present financial models to support business decision-making.
What you'll need to succeed
- CIMA/ACCA or ACA Qualified Accountant
- Proven experience in a commercial finance role within the manufacturing industry, with a focus on process improvement and reporting.
- Strong project management skills, with experience leading system implementation projects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data analysis tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
