Jonathan Lee Recruitment is working with a client seeking a Business Development Director (Interim) for a full or part-time role, which can be on a remote basis to support the growth and utilisation of their test facility.
As a Business Development Director (Interim), you will be tasked with identifying and developing opportunities within the rail industry to maximise to use of our clients test facility covering areas such as rolling stock, connectivity, signalling, engineering products and systems along with rail infrastructure and future technology, aimed at shaping and accelerating the future of the rail industry.
Initially the Business Development Director (Interim) will be expected to:
- Build effective relationships with new and existing customers, innovators and potential partners to leverage opportunities to test their products/systems at the client's facility
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the company's service offerings to identify business opportunities the will benefits the client and their customer base
- Prepare quotations for customers with input from the relevant teams to deliver viable plans working closely with the marketing department
- Work closely with the Engineering Teams to target projects and pipeline business that can be schedule along with existing work to maximise the use and utilisation of the rail test facility and associated teams for the
- Maintain excellent professional relationships with existing clients and meet with new clients to expand sales territories
To apply for this Business Development Director (Interim) role, you will need the following:
- Background in managing clients during product development and launch activities, possessing a working knowledge of the rail sector
- Ability to technical understand and capture requirements, making recommendations for future product development
- Excellent project planning and timing skills with the ability to deliver against stringent timelines within a innovation environment
- Strong commercial acumen to support the quotation and tendering process for new projects
