You will be part of The Benchmark & Index Control Group (BICG) function within NFRM, which is a 'Second Line of Defence (2LoD)' control function.

BICG is responsible for defining control standards and implementing control framework covering benchmark submissions, administration and usage across DB Group. The team is also accountable to ensure those controls are aligned to various regulatory requirements and obligations including European Union (EU) Benchmark Regulation, Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Order, Department of Justice (DoJ) Deferred Prosecution Agreement, New York Depart of Financial Services (NY DFS) Consent Order, International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) principles and various Administrator Codes of Conduct.

The team provides independent oversight, commentary, and challenge to the Business over their benchmark activities.

BICG are located in London, New York, Singapore as well as in Mumbai.

Your key responsibilities

  • Translating business / benchmark controls / regulatory requirements into system requirements and work with developers to implement solutions.
  • Establishing relationships with business stakeholders to learn about their business, understanding problems, gather requirements, and identifying solutions.
  • Performing project management life cycle functions such as requirements capturing, planning, prioritization, tracking, testing, stakeholder communication, etc.
  • Collaborating with product owners to refine and manage product backlog items.
  • Preparing Book of Work, documentation, and other relevant materials

Your skills and experience

  • Risk management and control environment (or a highly regulated environment) experience, ideally familiar with benchmarks activities and Benchmark Regulations
  • Proven track record of delivering data/reporting/automation projects and good knowledge and understanding of data analytics.
  • An understanding or curiosity of financial markets and financial products is a significant plus.
  • Technology savvy; good knowledge of system development workflow and coding languages (SQL, Python, Tableau, etc.).
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented with good analytics skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and while managing multiple work streams; Proactive with can-do attitude; good ability to manage stress and keep positive.
