Our global subsea engineering client is seeking a Senior Chartering Specialist to join their Engineering team based in Sutton, providing pre-commissioning engineering expertise to ongoing projects, FEED, and tenders.

The Role
- Supports tenders through market consultation and engagement. Liaises with suppliers in order to perform market screening and issuance of enquiries to the market.
- Conducts commercial assessment, normalization, and evaluation of supplier offers.
- Issues bid summaries and presents them to internal stakeholders.
- Supports and coordinates technical evaluations with internal functions and stakeholders.
- Oversees negotiations with selected suppliers before contract awards and during the placement of Charter Parties with chosen owners.
- Manages post-contract award activities, including issuing contract addendums, and serves as the liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders until contract completion.
- Maintains awareness of key project schedules and planning through regular collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Reviews and obtains approval for invoices related to charter party agreements.
- Tracks costs related to each charter party against the As Sold budget.
- Ensures the timely closeout of Charter Parties upon completion of work.
- Maintains a strong supplier interface during chartering pre and post-award activities.
- Continuously seeks to optimize cost, quality, and schedule related to chartering activities.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, environmental impact considerations, safety standards, and client requirements.
- Supports the pre-qualification of suppliers as required.
- Works in accordance with the Business Management System and SCM tools.
Experience Required
- Previous experience with BIMCO charter parties, particularly Supply Time, Heavycon, Bargehire, and GENCON.
- Relevant experience in a similar role with an owner, broker, or charterer.
- Strong contracting and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple and challenging requests.
- Degree or qualification in Maritime Business or Maritime Law.
