In this role you will use analytical insight to drive decisions and changeto how the business operates. This role will be crucial to investigating and implementing loss forecast and payment support strategies optimising both company and customer outcomes.

This company's main aim is to empower people to build a life beyond their next paycheck. They are working on building an AI platform enabling customers to achieve financial well-being through many different products.

THE ROLE

You will be doing the following daily:

  • Lead collaboration with payments and fraud team, guiding the fraud management strategy with precision.
  • Vigilantly monitor for signs of fraud, especially in new areas, by analysing user behaviour for any red flags.
  • Work with analytics team to generate detailed reports using SQL, identifying fraudulent transaction patterns.
  • Continuously improve risk control measures to balance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Proactively manage and minimise fraud rates, constantly seeking improvements.
  • Assess and enhance tools, advocating for new technologies or services that could improve our capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to design features that enhance user experience while bolstering security and reducing friction.
  • Partner with Compliance Officers to ensure all AML and compliance requirements are fully met.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Over 4 years of experience in fraud management with either a bank or fintech startup.
  • Previous experience mentoring/managing more junior analysts.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience leveraging automation and machine learning to tackle fraud and AML.
  • Well-versed in implementing and enhancing security measures.
  • The ability to work and collaborate with other members of your team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong numerical degree from a Russel Group University.
