Media Law Solicitor

Our client is looking for a Media Law Solicitor with 3-5 years PQE to join our dynamic Media Team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Media Law and litigation and be ready to handle a diverse range of matters including high-profile cases in phone hacking litigation, defamation, privacy, and harassment. Candidates with less experience who demonstrate a strong fit for our firm and team ethos are also encouraged to apply.
Day to day of the role:
- Work collaboratively with the Media Team on a variety of legal matters.
- Manage cases involving high-profile individuals and complex litigation.
- Handle defamation claims, judicial reviews, civil disputes, and standards tribunals for allegations of misconduct.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including MPs and other politicians.
- Conduct legal research, draft documents, and provide top-tier client care and compliance.
- Contribute to the marketing and development of the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-5 years PQE in Media Law, with litigation experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple files and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with clients and team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
- Excellent IT skills and the ability to work independently.
