Finance Project Manager

Butler Rose is working with one of the largest housing associations in London and the south-east in their search for a Finance Project Manager to join their team. This is a six month contract role in London with hybrid working (2-3 days in office).

The role of Finance Project Manager plays a vital role in the implementation and adoption of the new MS D365 system ensuring the smooth transition from the legacy SUN systems. Contributing to the financial stability by effectively managing and recording customer payments and resident incomes, you will take a lead on these functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply best project management practice to help deliver the transformation of the finance system with downstream efficiencies being identified and delivered.
  • Full project life cycle engagement: successful project delivery will include assessing the as-is state and then driving through to deployment.
  • Promote continuous improvement by actively engaging within all areas of Finance and the wider business.
  • Provide technical expertise, understanding the needs of business and finance and translating these into actionable plans.
  • Management of the RAID process including timely reporting and engagement with stakeholders across the business
  • Full end-to-end process mapping to ensure a smooth transition of both data and processes.

Required Experience:

  • Hold a CCAB recognized accounting qualification.
  • A good knowledge of MS D365, ideally having worked with Sun accounting systems.
  • Extensive experience delivering systems change within a Finance function.
  • Experience in leading and supporting stakeholder management to facilitate system adoption.
  • The ability to solve and unblock issues within team or departments at the highest level.
  • Proactivity and future thinking around the management and control of programme/project costs and benefits.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders to influence and spur change, facilitate, and enhance performance within a cross -functional environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and make data-driven decisions
  • Uphold ethical principles including integrity, objectivity, professional competence, confidentiality, and professional behaviour.
