Data Scientist (6-month contract with potential extension) - Outside IR35
About the Role:
My Client is seeking a talented Data Scientist to join the team on a 6-month contract with the potential for extension. This is a fast moving 2 stage interview process for a start in the next 2 weeks.
**Essential Skills:
- Strong communication skills for internal & external stakeholders
- Proven experience as a data scientist using Python and a range of libraries (Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib, Plotly etc.).
- Strong expertise in statistical modelling, machine learning, and data mining techniques, particularly using timeseries data.
- Data engineering (pipelines, databases, infrastructure), ideally with AWS experience would be an advantage.
- Experience with data analysis, data visualisation, and data cleansing.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
Desirable Skills:
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or a related field desirable.
- Experience in applying data science with the context of engineering, manufacturing or industrial operations desirable.
- Reinforcement learning (i.e., data-driven modelling + control optimisation) desirable
