One of our corporate clients is looking for a kitchen assistant to work in their canteen for three weeks.
Start: Monday 9th Sept
End: Friday 27th Sept
Hours: 7am – 3pm mon – Thursday 7-12 on Friday
Based: Love Lane, Cirencester
Rate: £15 - £16/hr dependant on experience
The main purpose of the Canteen Assistant is to work within the facilities team to prepare, serve, and clean away meals and food supplies for employees daily.
What you will help with:
- Prepare meals in line with the weekly lunch menu which includes chopping, slicing, cutting, peeling, and seasoning ingredients.
- Provide special dietary and allergy information.
- Assist in the serving of food to employees.
- Wash and clean up before and after service in the kitchen.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are used following regulations of hygiene and safety.
- Maintain cleanliness by disposing of rubbish following appropriate procedures.
The ideal Canteen Assistant will have/be:
- Experience as a Kitchen or Canteen Assistant or working in a similar environment.
- Good food hygiene.
- Dedicated and reliable to complete essential duties promptly.
- Exceptional time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
- The ability to multitask while working in a fast-paced environment
