Pure Resourcing Solutions are supporting a privately owned manufacturing company based in Basildon, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team, we are looking for both an interim and a permanent replacement for this crucial role.

£50,000 to £60,000 per annum DOE

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the supply chain and procurement functions within the company.
- Manage and mentor a team of 2 junior buyers.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing and timely delivery of materials.
- Source materials and products from the Far East and other global suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and resolve supply chain issues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Supply Chain / Procurement Manager.
- Strong management experience with the ability to lead and develop a team.
- Background in manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing from the Far East.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
