Elevation Recruitment Group is excited to be recruiting a skilled CNC Milling Machinist on behalf of a Leeds based manufacturer within the framework industry.
Location: Birstall, Leeds
Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30
Overtime Rates: Enhanced overtime rates starting at x1.33 increasing to x2.
Salary: £14.42 -£16.77 per hour DOE
**Role and Responsibilities:
As a CNC Milling Machinist, you will be a critical part of the manufacturing process, responsible for producing high-quality, precision components. Your main duties will include:
- Work in a fast-paced machining environment, using 5-axis CNC milling machines.
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines efficiently.
- Programming skills are highly desirable.
- Produce small batch size work pieces, focusing on one-offs and ensuring each piece meets the required specifications.
- Work to tight tolerances of 0.2mm, ensuring all work is inspected thoroughly to maintain high standards of quality.
- Clean parts between machining cycles to prepare them for the powder coating process.
- Primarily work with aluminium
- Ensuring all tasks are performed to the highest standards.
**Candidate Requirements:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual with the following qualifications and attributes:
- Proven experience with CNC milling machines is essential.
- Prior experience working with aluminium is highly desirable.
- Ability to program CNC machines on the job is advantageous.
- A positive attitude towards work and a strong motivation to perform at your best are crucial.
- Forklift (FLT) or first aid training are desirable but not essential.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
