Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Logistics Analyst to be based at our clients head office, in Derriford, Plymouth.
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, Full time. 8:30am - 5:15pm
Your main purpose as the Logistics Analyst is ensuring optimal stock fulfilment by the way of managing order levels, central stock holding and highlighting poor performance suppliers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Placing orders.
- Management of full availability on all active lines, ensuring 95% availability and above
- Working with the Buying team to review weekly trading performance on KPIs and to identify any issues and opportunities in weekly trading conditions.
- Monitor `critical` stock lines.
- Ensuring that any promotional activity is fully supported with appropriate levels of stock replenishment.
- Analysing sales and stock, adjusting levels where applicable.
- Liaising with stores and suppliers via email and telephone.
- Monitoring supplier performance against lead times.
- Working with the Buying team to review weekly trading performance on KPIs and to identify any issues and opportunities in weekly trading conditions.
- Highlight to the trading team any suppliers who regularly do not meet minimum order values when replenishing.
- Maintaining and creating suitable ordering schedules (including prescribed bookings).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience using Microsoft packages is essential – primarily Excel.
- Degree in a business related subject desirable but not essential – Full training will be provided.
- Previous experience in an analytical, data led role desirable.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to manage workload.
- Can work well under pressure.
- Good eye for detail and can problem solve.
