Production Operations Manager

Adecco is currently recruiting for a skilled Production Operations Manager to join a leading manufacturing company based in Wirral, known for our commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction.

As a Production Operations Manager you will oversee the production processes, ensuring efficient manufacturing operations, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role involves strategic planning, managing production schedules, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.

Role: full-time, permanent vacancy

Salary: 45-55k per annum, depending on experience

Location: Wirral

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing processes to ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Monitor production metrics and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback, training, and development opportunities for team members.
  • Ensure that all production activities comply with company policies and standards, including health and safety regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction, implementing manufacturing principles where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve operational excellence.
  • Develop and manage production budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Maintain inventory levels, managing supply chain logistics to support uninterrupted production flow.

Experience & skills:

  • Proven experience as an Operations Production Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production management principles
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of driving performance improvements.
  • Solid knowledge of quality control standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams.
