Synergy Plus Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a distinguished logistics company to recruit motivated individuals for the role of Warehouse Operative with the potential to transition into a Management position.
Position: Warehouse Shift Supervisor
Location: Ipswich, IP3
Hours:
Current: 08:30am - 5:30pm (1-hour unpaid break)
From August 2024: 7am - 7pm, 4 on 4 off shifts
Salary:
£26,500 per annum initially
£28,500 per annum starting August 2024 with new shift hours
Employment Type: Permanent opportunity after 12 weeks
Role Overview:
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will initially engage in day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, handling, and shipping goods. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and transition into a Shift Manager role. This position is ideal for individuals eager to advance their careers in logistics management.
Duties of a Shift Manager:
- Team Leadership - Oversee and manage a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring efficient workflow and high morale.
- Operational Supervision - Monitor daily warehouse operations, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Inventory Control - Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels to ensure availability and reduce discrepancies.
- Safety Compliance - Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly followed to maintain a safe working environment.
- Performance Monitoring - Evaluate team performance, provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance productivity.
- Problem Solving - Address operational issues promptly, implement effective solutions, and prevent recurrence.
- Reporting - Generate regular reports on warehouse operations, including productivity, stock levels, and compliance.
