We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper/Accounts Manager to join our team. This is a permanent part-time position, working three full days a week. The role is 100% office-based, and the ideal candidate must be available to work on Mondays and Fridays, with flexibility for mid-week days.
Key Responsibilities
- Input purchase invoices into Xero.
- Download and input credit card transactions.
- Maintain the cash flow spreadsheet by recording receipts and payments from the weekly bank transaction report.
- Analyse and report weekly transactions to the Directors.
- Process weekly invoice payments on Fridays.
- Review debtor reports and follow up with any outstanding debtors.
- Manage day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Handle customer statements, address queries, and proactively chase debtors.
- Prepare monthly Management Accounts, providing insights into financial performance.
- Complete and submit VAT returns.
- Perform daily banking and reconcile all bank accounts.
- Process staff expenses and credit card transactions.
- Execute weekly payment runs.
- Post Payroll journals and pension contributions.
- Collaborate with the Head Office Finance Team.
- Generate monthly management accounts and month-end reports.
- Send statements to clients at the end of each month.
- Handle payroll, time sheets, and pension contributions.
- Deposit incoming cheques.
- Utilise software tools such as Xero and Excel for preparing weekly cash flow reports.

- Relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in using Xero and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
