We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper/Accounts Manager to join our team. This is a permanent part-time position, working three full days a week. The role is 100% office-based, and the ideal candidate must be available to work on Mondays and Fridays, with flexibility for mid-week day.

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper/Accounts Manager to join our team. This is a permanent part-time position, working three full days a week. The role is 100% office-based, and the ideal candidate must be available to work on Mondays and Fridays, with flexibility for mid-week days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Input purchase invoices into Xero.
  • Download and input credit card transactions.
  • Maintain the cash flow spreadsheet by recording receipts and payments from the weekly bank transaction report.
  • Analyse and report weekly transactions to the Directors.
  • Process weekly invoice payments on Fridays.
  • Review debtor reports and follow up with any outstanding debtors.
  • Manage day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Handle customer statements, address queries, and proactively chase debtors.
  • Prepare monthly Management Accounts, providing insights into financial performance.
  • Complete and submit VAT returns.
  • Perform daily banking and reconcile all bank accounts.
  • Process staff expenses and credit card transactions.
  • Execute weekly payment runs.
  • Post Payroll journals and pension contributions.
  • Collaborate with the Head Office Finance Team.
  • Generate monthly management accounts and month-end reports.
  • Send statements to clients at the end of each month.
  • Handle payroll, time sheets, and pension contributions.
  • Deposit incoming cheques.
  • Utilise software tools such as Xero and Excel for preparing weekly cash flow reports.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Proficiency in using Xero and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
