Description
The key responsibilities of an Accountant will include, but may not be limited to;
- Oversee and manage daily accounting tasks
- Prepare financial statements and produce budget in accordance with the schedule
- Manage tax payments and returns
- Update internal systems with financial data
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Review and implement financial policies
- Perform a financial analysis and present findings
- Work closely with the accounting and finance team to ensure smooth operation
Profile
A successful Accountant should have:
- A Public Sector and Government background
- A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent numeracy skills with a keen eye for detail
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with financial software
- Good organisational skills
- A degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field
- Ability to commute to Manchester
