Senior Finance Assistant

We are a pleased to be representing one of our favourite repeat clients, a Housebuilder in High Wycombe! We are leading their search for a Senior Finance Assistant to be based at Head Office, overseeing Accounts Payable across the Group and assisting the regional teams with troubleshooting. The Senior Finance Assistant will also take ownership of the Group's cashbook, banking and company expenses and compile regular reports as required.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate payments across the Group for both purchase and subcontract ledgers.
  • Cashbook and bank reconciliations for all Group bank accounts.
  • Controls recurring (e.g. PAYE/NI) and ad-hoc payments required by the business.
  • Work with Sales Director in updating weekly house completions roadmap.
  • Reconcile house completion statements and book revenue for the Group.
  • Prepare and submit Housing Association invoices.
  • Support the management accountant with the weekly short-term cashflow forecast for the Group.
  • Process and pay expenses for Central region.
  • Support the Commercial team with reallocation of costs for CVRs.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances and investigate any differences.
  • Support the Land team in reconciling their cost ledgers.
  • Group credit card reconciliation and postings.
  • Support the Group Financial Controller with annual audit preparations and liaise with auditors as necessary.
  • Ad hoc analysis as required by the Senior Finance Team and wider business.
  • Manage post and ordering office supplies.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar Finance Assistant / Treasury role
  • Ideally have worked in the construction/housebuilding sector previously
  • Proir use of COINS ERP system would be highly beneficial
  • Attention to detail, ability to maintain multiple bank accounts and reports
  • Able to prioritise own workload and manage time in order to meet deadlines
  • A team player with strong communication skills and a can-do attitude
