Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a History Teacher to teach in a mixed-Comprehensive school in Medway. Successful candidates will be joining a school that champions trust, respect, honesty, kindness, and tolerance to foster an inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive.
Candidates will ideally be able to teach History to KS5 level, although this is only desirable. The role is to begin in September, continuing until the end of the academic year. This will be full time and will encompass full planning and marking responsibilities.
Responsibilities - History Teacher:
- Plan, mark, and deliver the History curriculum from KS3 to KS4 level, with the possibility of KS5
- Ensure sustained academic growth & engagement in your pupils
- Effective classroom & individual behaviour management in line with school policies
- Liaise with colleagues and parents to ensure a high standard of support for all pupils
- Establish a safe and welcoming space for pupils to learn and grow
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, we will require the following:
- Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an alternative, equivalent qualification
- Own or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS Disclosure on the Update Service, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
- Legal right to work in the UK
