We are seeking a Treasury Accounts Assistant to join our Client Services Team. The main purpose of this role is to support the Client Accounting team in maintaining an efficient and accurate accounting function, in line with current policies and procedures.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Manage daily cash for the Client conglomerate bank account, ensuring accurate and timely posting of payments and receipts.
  • Investigate unidentified transactions, contacting payers and liaising with colleagues to accurately post receipt transactions.
  • Allocate charges on the Client Account across all clients according to the agreed charging structure.
  • Complete month-end bank reconciliations for all clients to agreed deadlines.
  • Bank all client cheques received at least every two weeks.
  • Prepare cashflow movements and forecasts for clients to agreed deadlines.
  • Prepare third-party notification letters for new client implementations.
  • Prepare disinvestment forms for client cashflows.
  • Process client invoices and monitor budgets.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, including payroll, annuity income, debtors, and creditors.
  • Maintain knowledge of ISO 27001 policies and processes.
  • Support the team by understanding and sharing workloads and capabilities of colleagues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client requirements through proactive self-learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement processes to enhance service quality.
  • Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned by the Client Senior Treasury Accountant.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of UK pensions products and services is preferable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications - Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Experience with pensions systems software and processes is an advantage.
  • Studying towards, or intention to study for, an accounting qualification, or time served in an accounting role.
  • Ability to work closely with team colleagues and with limited supervision.
  • Ability to build relationships across teams and work to agreed processes and procedures.
  • Experience in initiating process improvements.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
