HSEQ Manager

This company are one of the largest civil / construction companies in the UK with over 500 employees covering predominantly Scotland.

Specialising in everything from early stage vegetation and feasibility to civil engineering and track cleaning / electrification.

This role offers the chance to manage HSEQ across the Scottish sites, working on both new and existing contracts and projects.

Role and responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a transparent health and safety plan along with associated objectives which help reduce the risk of personal injury, illness and property damage.
  • Achieve compliance with health and safety legislation as well as meeting customer-driven health and safety requirements.
  • Engage all employees in the promotion and achievement of a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Promote a safety first attitude and lead by example.
  • Be a visible, pragmatic and approachable presence on site.
  • Provide professional and accurate health and safety support to employees and management

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Certificate
  • IOSH membership
  • Quality and Environmental Management Systems experience
  • 3-5 years practical experience in railway industry
  • Sound knowledge of the H&S requirements of legislation, Railway Group and Railway Company standards
