Our Team
The Data Management team are a dedicated and knowledgeable bunch of people who build and manage a single and reliable view of the banks customer data for use in its computer applications.
We believe that the accuracy and reliability of this data is key to delivering the best possible service to our customers.

We work in two Agile squads combining project change with enhancements and deliver change to our production service monthly.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing new code to support project change
  • Analysing code and data quality issues to find root cause and deliver corrections
  • Actively collaborating with the team to ensure we deliver the best possible service to our customers
  • Mentoring our more junior colleagues to allow them to grow and develop in our team
  • Communicating with our stakeholders on issues you are working to resolve

We need you to have

  • Experience in writing and amending complex SQL query language and data queries
  • Strong background in any of the following: - Java, ETL Tools, Unix scripting, Oracle, Customer Data Management or Microsoft Power Apps
  • Experience in writing and amending complex SQL query language and data queries
  • Experience in data systems and a clear understanding of how data impacts IT systems and our customers
  • An aptitude to quickly understand complex problems and to efficiently explain and present them to stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment and to work and deliver under pressure
  • Desire and aptitude to continually develop your knowledge and skills, and help others do the same

It's a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Experience of Jenkins and Github or other automation tools
  • Experience in working with third party vendors
  • Understanding of how to support and protect production services to ensure good customer experience and avoid regulatory sanctions
