As the academy enters its third year, pride is taken in its state-of-the-art facilities tailored for Sixth Form education, with a particular emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines.

Main Areas of Responsibility

As part of the team, responsibilities encompass:

  • Procurement: Facilitating the ordering process for staff, including raising purchase requests, transmitting purchase orders, and processing invoices from suppliers.
  • Financial Management: Ensuring adherence to approval processes for purchase orders and invoices, monitoring and maintaining financial records, and managing student bursaries.
  • Banking and Payments: Overseeing bank transactions, managing the academy's credit card, processing supplier payments, and administering income records.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining ledgers, journals, fixed assets, and contracts registers to ensure accurate financial documentation.
  • Coordination and Support: Liaising with budget holders, assisting in balance sheet reconciliations, engaging in audit and control reviews, and supporting various administrative tasks such as managing cashless catering systems and free school meals.

What We Are Looking For

The academy invites applications from individuals who possess:

  • Experience in finance, particularly in purchase ledger processing and budget management.
  • Proficiency in ICT systems.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to change, and meet deadlines.
  • A commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Numeracy and literacy skills equivalent to at least a C grade in English and Maths GCSE.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to work, capable of performing accurately under pressure.
