Office Facilities Manager (Warehousing & Distribution)

Our client is a leading E-Commerce Distributor in Herefordshire, and we are delighted to assist them in their search for an experienced Warehouse Manager, Facilities Manager or Office Manager who can step up into a large warehouse operations & coordinate the facilities team.

The main responsibilities of the team you will be coordinating is to run routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, maintaining records, and supervising facilities staff.

Day-to-day duties and responsibilities of the team you will oversee & organise will include:

  • Control task requests and project planning details
  • Obtaining quotations and controlling/reducing operational costs
  • Provide and record project planning details
  • Induct, establish and maintain effective working relationship with all contractors
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits and monitoring maintenance records
  • Maintain Permit to Work log for contractor/Maintenance Op as appropriate (all sites)
  • Out of hours response to emergency situations and hosting of contractors
  • Ensure sites are prepared for adverse weather conditions (snow, ice, darkness)
  • Responsible for the management of the cleaning, facilities and maintenance teams
  • Ensure all teams and contractors adhere to H&S and COSHH regulations
  • Support management of canteen, staff, policies and process, and management of 3rd party security companies
