£45,000 - £50,000 (Depending on Experience)

Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00

Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional ready for a new challenge? We are looking for a dynamic Health & Safety Manager to lead and manage the Health & Safety strategy across our multi-site business. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact by ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees through the implementation of effective safety practices, procedures, and compliance standards.

The Candidate;

  • Proven experience in a similar Health & Safety role, preferably across multiple sites.
  • Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate).
  • Strong knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated legislation.
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with BRCGS accreditation standards is highly desirable
  • Experience in logistics, warehousing and brewery environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety policies and procedures across the company.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations and standards, including ISO 45001.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.
  • Lead and coordinate Health & Safety representative meetings and training sessions.
  • Advise management on legislative changes and best practices in Health & Safety.
  • Manage accident investigations and near-miss reporting, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Oversee the coordination of First Aid and Fire Safety representatives across all sites.
  • Stay current with industry regulations, ensuring timely updates to company practices.
  • Oversee all aspects of health and safety, including risk assessments, procedures, and training across multiple sites.
