Events Assistant and Administrator

We are looking for someone with an interest in Administration and Events to join a company based in Amersham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to become an Events Assistant in a position that would evolve and grow. No prior events experience is needed, we are looking for someone who is keen to learn and develop into this role.

The role is to support the Events Manager to ensure the smooth running of company events. These corporate events range in size from 15 - 100 people and are both online and in-person. This position would suit someone who has an excellent level of administration experience, is keen to learn and immediately available for work.

This is a temporary position with the possibility of moving into a permanent role. You must be available for work immediately.

This position is based within Amersham, after training the role may become a hybrid position - 2 days per week, with 3 days a week from home.

Hourly Rate - £12.50 - £15ph (depending on experience)

Some of the duties will include:

  • Assist the Events Manager with end-to-end event management and campaigns
  • Manage emails in the event inbox
  • Create and manage invite lists ensuring all RSVP's are logged
  • Keep the MS Excel events and campaigns tracker up-to-date
  • Ensure event marketing material is ready and up-to-date
  • Support with admin post-event including sending out thank you's, issuing discussion summaries and reports
  • Attend events with the event manager (events are typically 1-day events with no overnight stays required)

The suitable candidate:

  • Some administration experience or a Graduate
  • Immediately available for work
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to manage workload efficiently and meet tight deadlines
  • Commutable distance to Amersham
