Part time Accounts Assistant- 16-20 hours

As a Finance Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our organisation's financial records. Your responsibilities will include updating financial spreadsheets, processing payments, managing invoices, and reconciling bank statements. You'll collaborate closely with the Finance team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Update financial spreadsheets: Record daily transactions and maintain accurate financial data.
  • Prepare balance sheets: Assist in creating and analysing balance sheets to track our financial health.
  • Track and reconcile bank statements: Ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Process tax payments: Handle tax-related tasks efficiently.
  • Support monthly payroll: Maintain organized payroll records.
  • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable: Manage invoices and payments.
  • Provide administrative support during budget preparation: Assist in preparing financial budgets.
  • Participate in quarterly and annual audits: Contribute to the audit process.

Requirements:

  • Work experience: Previous experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role.
  • Accounting knowledge: Familiarity with accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills: Ability to create and use spreadsheets with financial functions.
  • Software proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Organizational skills: Attention to detail and ability to spot numerical errors.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
