Acorn Education are hiring a Registered Manager with Learning Disabilities Experience in the Cornwall region.

Position: Registered Manager

Salary: Up to £55,000.00 per annum

Hours: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week, 9am - 5pm)

Location: Truro, Cornwall

Essential: Learning Disabilities Experience and a Full UK Driving Licence are required

Welcome Bonus: Receive a £5,000 Welcome bonus, split between £2,500 after 1 month service and a further £2,500 after passing 6 month probation.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our dynamic team and contribute to our ongoing success.

Job Description:

As the Registered Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our home, ensuring the highest standards of care for our young people with learning disabilities. You will promote a relentless focus on high quality, nurturing environment and key role in our young peoples accommodation making an impact on their lives.

Management and oversight of day-to-day operations.

Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organisational policies.

Supervising and mentoring staff, conducting performance reviews, and facilitating professional development.

Developing and implementing individualised care plans for our young people.

Managing budgets, resources, and administrative tasks efficiently.

Liaising with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care.

Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for both staff and young people.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Mandatory: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or NVQ equivalent
  • Level 5 Diploma - Leadership and Management Children's and Young People (Preferred or willing to work towards)
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle required
  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a learning disabilities residential setting.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in the care of individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to enhancing the lives of young people.
