About the Client:

This family-owned organisation has a long-standing history and reputation for excellence in their field. They are committed to fostering a people-centric approach, ensuring both employees and customers are at the heart of their decisions. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a talented Finance Manager to lead their finance team and support their long-term business strategy.

About the Job:

As the Finance Manager, you will oversee the finance department, providing leadership and guidance while ensuring financial controls are maintained. You will collaborate with various department heads and provide analysis to support decision-making. A hands-on approach will be key as you manage all financial aspects of the organisation and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and mentoring the finance team while enhancing financial understanding across site management teams.
  • Ensuring strong financial controls and compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
  • Overseeing the preparation of monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts.
  • Managing the balance sheet, cashflow, and the annual budgeting process.
  • Providing financial analysis to support business improvement and decision-making.
  • Managing relationships with HMRC and ensuring timely, accurate submission of returns.
  • Leading the annual statutory audit process and ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Presenting financial performance reports and KPIs to senior management and budget holders.

About the Successful Applicant:

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant experience in financial management, ideally within a large SME environment. Strong leadership skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to communicate complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders are essential. You should also have a passion for continuous improvement and delivering results.

What You Will Receive in Return:

You will be part of a dynamic and growing business that values leadership and innovation. This role offers a competitive salary, along with opportunities for career progression, and the chance to work closely with senior management on shaping the financial future of the business.
