Trinity House Group is supporting a well-known market leader to recruit a Financial Reporting Manager for their North Birmingham based head office.
This is a perfect opportunity for candidates making their 2nd industry move and will offer continued career progression.
Ideally, you'll be from a Big 4 / Top 10 background, have industry experience in a large corporate environment with detailed understanding of US GAAP / SOX & UK GAAP.
Reporting to a high calibre line manager, you will also take the lead on various value add projects such as developing & implementing improved processes, taking a strategic view and supporting ad hoc projects meaning you will gain exposure to a broad range of challenges.
It's only 2 days on site per week with a flexible approach and a high calibre leadership team.
Financial Reporting Manager Responsibilities:
- Responsible for processing and reviewing month end close
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations
- Involvement in the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packs
- Involvement in the preparation of monthly US GAAP accounting adjustments
- Oversee and maintain the preparation of SOX control compliance during close processes
- Prepare statutory accounts for all legal entities within the UK and group
- Work with auditors and tax consultants for the group to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Manage any FRS developments, ensuring impact analysis is completed and required changes implemented
- Responsibility for acquisition accounting
- Review of the quarterly VAT Returns to GL
- Ensure the integrity of financial data provided to other areas of the business
- Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues
- Collaborate with FP&A Team to help produce accurate budgets.
- Ensure ONS submissions are completed accurately
- Ad hoc support as required by the business
As Financial Reporting Manager you will be / have:
- Big 4 trained qualified ACA, ACCA accountant.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- Takes ownership and uses initiative to solve problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate with the non-finance colleagues
- Ability to work independently, use initiative and meet deadlines
- Prepared to be hands-on
- Extensive knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP and SOX
Financial Reporting Manager Package:
- Up to £70k base salary
- £5,000 Car Allowance
- Bonus
